Greater Huntsville Church

Come and Celebrate with the Greater Huntsville Church

(Inaugural Worship Service, 10:30am)

Location: Jackson Center (6001 Moquin Drive, Huntsville AL 35806

The Greater Huntsville Church is excited to invite you and your churches or small groups to worship with us on Sunday, September 17, 2017. The church has been here in Huntsville for quite some time; however, we are considering this service a new beginning and a fresh start as our hearts are growing even more passionate and committed to the mission of seeking and saving the lost
.
God is moving powerfully in Huntsville. Recently, through the grace of God and the help of campus interns out of the Greater Nashville Church, two students at the University of Alabama Huntsville have become disciples; they are giving their hearts to spreading the good news of Jesus on that campus. In addition, a couple has moved to Huntsville to serve in advancing the Kingdom of God.

We would like to share more good news, worship with you, and celebrate what God may have planned for the future of the Rocket City. We can never be completely certain of God’s will for our cities, but here in Huntsville we are certain that God is intent on our evangelizing Huntsville, Alabama, as well as our growing more united with the Alabama and South East churches.

Please join us in praying that ultimately this service will glorify God. In addition, we will pray that you will leave our city with the Greater Huntsville Church on your hearts and with a strong desire to keep our church and city in your prayers.

Here are a few items to keep in mind:

  • After the worship service there is opportunity for fellowship and lunch at Bridge Street Town Center which is only 6 minutes away.
  • Children’s church will be available for children of families traveling with their children.

Huntsville Hires New Leaders to lead the mission team

God has chosen an amazing couple to lead the Huntsville Church planting.  J.D. and Claudette Lusan decided to return to full-time ministry and will be moving to Huntsville in May 2017 to begin planning and forming the mission team.  During their 20+ years as disciples, the Lusans have demonstrated strong, faithful and dynamic leadership – in the full-time ministry and as lay leaders – in Kingston Jamaica, Orlando, and South Florida.  The Lusans will be joined by the 15 faithful disciples who currently live in Huntsville.

If you have been dreaming of joining a mission team or a church planting, we encourage you to step out in faith and move to Huntsville Alabama.  The Church is looking for marrieds, singles, empty nesters, and college students to move permanently or to take the One Year Challenge to help plant the church in 2017.

The Huntsville metropolitan area has a population of 683,000 and continues to be the fastest growing of the four large metro areas of Alabama. This steady growth is attributed to the increasing presence of major government agencies (NASA, U.S. Army Aviation and Space, Missile Defense Agency) and several Fortune 500 companies specializing in technology, space, aviation, biomedical, military technology and homeland defense.

The city of Huntsville hosts several colleges and university campuses: Alabama A&M University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Calhoun Community College and Oakwood University.

If you are interested in joining the mission team please fill out the Mission Team Volunteer Form in this website.  You can also contact J.D Lusan at 904-365-0687
